Determine a theme for the progressive dinner. Deciding on a theme in advance will ensure that each of the evening’s courses compliment the others.

Assign courses to each of the people selected to host a portion of the dinner party. The first host should prepare an appetizer, the second host should prepare an entrée and the third host should prepare a dessert.

Invite guests to begin their meal at the home serving appetizers. Designate a time that the party will wrap up in the first home and move to the second.

Travel to the second home for the entrée portion of the meal. At the designated time, remind guests that the party will be relocating for the final course.
