Instructions

    • 1

Turn the soiled garment inside out and slide a towel in between the two layers of fabric.

    • 2

Squirt a small amount of white or clear liquid dishwashing soap onto the stain and rub it in gently. Let it soak in for about 15 minutes, then rinse the garment with cold water.

    • 3

Fill a bucket with warm water and add about a cup of white vinegar. Stir to combine. Put the garment into the bucket and let it soak for about 30 minutes.

    • 4

Wring out the clothing and launder as usual. Check the material for stains before putting it into the dryer. If traces remain, retreat the fabric.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use colored dishwashing soap. Dish soaps tinted with dye add to the staining.

  • Never let a coffee stain set. If it dries, it's unlikely it'll ever come out of your clothing.
