Things You'll Need:
- Lace trim (1 3/4 inch to 2 3/4 inch wide)
- Narrow ribbon
- Silk roses
- Miniature string of pearls
- Baby's breath
- Decorative ribbon
- Hot glue gun/glue sticks
-
Step 1
Cut an 18-inch length of lace. Join the ends with the right sides facing and sew closed with a 1/4-inch seam. Stitch along the top with a running stitch, 1/8 inch from the edge. Pull the string to gather the lace into a tight circle and tie off the thread. Flatten with your fingers. Fold a 9-inch length of decorative ribbon in half and stitch to the center front of the circle.
-
Step 2
Repeat the process to create a second lace circle. Dab the center with hot glue or fabric glue and press the second circle on top of the first one. Be sure the decorative ribbon is between the two layers of lace and the right side of the lace is facing you.
-
Step 3
Create decorative loops from the small pearls in the shape of a flower with rounded petals. Glue in place in the center of the lace. Glue a 1-inch dark pink rosebud on top of a green rose leaf in the center of the pearls. Gather three small pale pink rosebuds and glue in place tucked under the larger pink rose. Add a sprig of baby's breath by gluing in place.
-
Step 4
Create a more colorful nosegay by using red or pink ribbon instead of delicate pearls. Loop the ribbon to form loose folds with trailing ends. Add a group of three red or dark pink roses in the center accented by a pale green leaf.
-
Step 5
Hang on the tree or attach to gift tags for a special surprise.
