Instructions

    • 1

Pop the hood. Place a siphoning hose into the engine cooling system and empty the engine coolant into a container. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator top, and remove the air cleaner assembly, the air-intake resonator and the fan motor electrical connectors from the fan front. Use a chain wrench to remove the coolant-recovery system mounting screw from the top part of the radiator.

    • 2

Remove the upper radiator mounts and detach the upper portion of the radiator. Use a screwdriver to take off the cooling fan mounting screws. Remove the trans axle oil cooler line on the lower left side of the radiator. Loosen the radiator mounting bolts on each side of the engine fan with a chain wrench. Take the fan out and place it on a flat wooden surface.

    • 3

Examine the old engine fan for any type of damage before you proceed further. Put the replacement engine fan inside the radiator. Reconnect the radiator mounting bolts of each side of the engine fan with a chain wrench.

    • 4

Plug in the trans axle oil cooler line to the lower left side of the radiator. Tighten the cooling fan mounting screws with your screwdriver. Attach the upper portion of the radiator and the upper radiator mounts. Reconnect the radiator outlet hose to the top of the radiator.

    • 5

Use the chain wrench to tighten the coolant-recovery system mounting screw on the top of the radiator. Apply the air-cleaner assembly, the air-intake resonator and the fan motor electrical connectors back to the fan's front. Put the siphoning hose into the engine's cooling system and empty the coolant container contents back into it.

    • 6

Check for any loosely connected hoses or wires. Get into your vehicle and turn on the engine. Let it run for at least a few minutes with the hood up to make sure the engine is working again. Then close the hood and take your Caravan out for a spin.
