on 12/2/2009 PART 2: (I should have done this sooner!) God told me to use baking soda so I googled "clogged sink baking soda" and found this posting. By putting in baking soda in the standing water followed by vinegar produced immediate results. Black gunk and live larvae came up and the sink began to very slowly drain. Tried again after all water drained but no results since baking soda was now sitting in the sink trap. Next few times I chased the baking soda and vinegar with a kettle of boiling water. More black gunk and dead larvae came up and the sink drained a lot faster. Sink was still slower than designed for, so I prayed again. The last time I plugged the holes on the sides of the sink with wet rags, I put in the baking soda, then the kettle of hot water, then the vinegar and then I plugged the sink with a wet rag. There was a gurgling noise followed by a rumbling noise. The sink dr...

on 12/2/2009 I had a sink clog was located way down deep in the pipes. My wife would unclog the drain with chemical drain openers but it still be a little sluggish. In a few days it would clogged again. After about two months of this cycle, I bought some unclogging tools from Lowe's including a drain snake. The clog was so far back in the plumbing and the plumbing was so contorted that it took me about an hour of coxing the cable to reach the actual clog. When I did the head of the drain snake came full of hair and black gunk (about a teaspoon) but failed to dislodge the main clog as advertised. I went through this process several times but found that the clog was still there when I tried to run boiling water through the system. Apparently all that our efforts had down was to move the main clog to grow in a hard to reach area. Finally I asked God for wisdom in the name of Jesus. (I shoul...

Its really easy to use and you don't have to take the trap apart.
