You want to get married but don't want to go through the hassle of waiting. This article will describe how to get married in a hurry. However, consider that you will need to be in California (or a state with the same marriage laws).

Get ready to get married. Make sure you leave the house early because your day will be eventful.

Depending on the state, you both may need to get a blood test. Make sure to get the results before you leave; however, these are not usually needed for a wedding license.

If the state does not require this, then don't waste your time being stuck with needles.

Go to the County Clerk's Office to get a marriage license. (In California, you don't have to be a CA resident or even a U.S. resident.)

Make sure you both are 18 or older (or have written consent from a parent or guardian) and have valid photo ID.

Don't forget your divorce decree and ensure it has been finalized for at least 90 days, if you were previously divorced.

Choose which of the following you would like to marry you: priest, county clerk, judge, minister, notary republic, or rabbi.

For a little extra money, you can even have a wedding ceremony. However, if you do this, you may need to make an appointment before the day of your wedding so that you can have it all done in one day.

Bring one witness. California marriages require the presence and signature of at least one witness for the wedding to be legal. Bring a friend or relative, or ask one of the other couples waiting for their wedding to serve as your witnesses.
