Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Grill, hot and ready to use
  • Foil-covered shelves on the grill
  • Fresh Salmon Steaks
  • 12 to 24 hours to marinate Salmon Steaks
  • Juice from Canned Mandarin Oranges or Pineapple Juice
  • Flat bowl for marinating salmon steaks
  • A-1 Steak Sauce or Your Favorite Sauce
  • Mrs. Dash Lemon Seasoning (or your favorite fish seasoning)
  1. Step 1

The day before (or at least 6 hours prior to) grilling use the juice from canned mandarin oranges or canned pineapple juices to marinate the salmon steaks in the refrigerator.

  2. Step 2

Place the steaks in a shallow deep dish and pour the juice over the salmon steaks.

  3. Step 3

Place the dish in the refrigerator for a minimum of six (6) hours.

  4. Step 4

Prior to grilling, remove the steaks from the refrigerator.

  5. Step 5

    Pour off the juice.

  6. Step 6

Season each side of the steaks (with Mrs. Dash Lemon or your favorite seafood seasoning).

  7. Step 7

Place the salmon steaks on the grill at a level close to charcoal/heat.

  8. Step 8

Cook the steaks on each side for 7 to 8 minutes on the grill. Brush with your favorite steak sauce. Cook on each side 1 to 2 additional minutes.

  9. Step 9

Remove the salmon steaks from the grill and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can place the steaks in an oven broiler for 8 to 10 minutes on each side. Brush with steak sauce.
  • Avoid tart juices such as lemons and grapefruits.
  • Do not overcook salmon steaks to prevent dryness.
  • Do not allow fire to scorch the steaks.
