Safety pins

Step1

Buy a big package of safety pins and distribute them amongst your older family members as young children should not handle sharp objects. If a particular family member has ten pairs of socks; give them ten safety pins.

Step2

Instruct family members to pin their socks together as they take them off each evening and to place them in the laundry hamper ready for the wash.

Step3

Pairing Your Family's Socks Wash your family's socks knowing that their socks will remain paired throughout the laundry process. Place in each family member's sock drawer with safety pins still attached.

Tips & Warnings

Pin winter gloves together to stay with their mate for the entire laundry process, too.
Always watch children around sharp objects.
Instruct children that safety pins are not toys and should be treated with respect.
