How to Remove Stains from Plastic Cutting Board

Plastic cutting boards are recommended as they do not harbor bacteria; however, they do get stained very easily with foods such as tomatoes, green vegetables and other colorful foods.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Plastic cutting board
  • Sink
  • Hot water
  • Bleach
  • Old dish towel

Step1
Fill sink with about 1 gallon of hot water.
Step2
Add 4 teaspoons of bleach.
Step3
Wrap cutting board in old clean dishtowel.
Step4
Pour a small amount of bleach directly onto dishtowel over stained area.
Step5
Place wrapped cutting board into water and allow to soak overnight.
