Discuss potential dates with the bride and then with the rest of the wedding party.
Step2
Try not to involve the bride in anything except choosing the date, venue and invite list.
Step3
Tailor the party to fit the personality of the bride-to-be.
Step4
Estimate costs ahead of time, and factor in food, cover charges, drinks and cab rides.
Step5
Plan to serve some nonalcoholic beverages for those who don't drink alcohol.
Step6
Arrange taxis or designated drivers if drinking alcohol is part of the evening's plans.
Step7
Warn guests ahead of time if you plan something that might be offensive to some. Allow guests to back out gracefully if the party is not their cup of tea.
Tips & Warnings
As the wedding draws near, people may or may not be excited to partake in yet another event for the bride-to-be, so make the party fun and appropriate for all who are invited.
Bachelorette parties do not necessarily need to revolve around male strippers and alcohol. Use your imagination and try not to embarrass anyone.

I just bought this book "The Best Bachelorette Party Book" when I was putting together a gift basket for my best friend, it has awesome ideas on how to throw a great party! =) Fun Stuff - www.lovemenaturally.com

There are places you can go where you learn how to pole dance, or strip...that way every girl can get involved and the bride has something for the groom on their honeymoon. Or you can even rent a video and do it at home. Carmen Electra made a great series that's easy to learn...plus it's good exercise!

Have each of the women invited prepare a short tribute before the party -- just a few sentences on what they love about the bride-to-be. Ask them to write it down and bring it with them to the party. At some point (usually later in the evening) have each one read her tribute to the bride-to-be. This is a wonderful surprise, and usually causes lots of happy tears. Afterward, collect all the written tributes and create a little book to give to the bride-to-be so she can remember all those nice things her friends said!

If you're throwing a big bash for a group that prefers not to drink alcohol, try getting together before hand and primping up together. Have a limousine arrive to pick you all up and take you to an event in the city, like a play or a ballet. Find a nice place to eat with jazz music, then rent a hotel with a hot tub, and have a slumber party and play games. Keep in mind that the limousine takes you to all to these places!

Try taking the bride-to-be and her friends on a relaxing, creative and fun scrap-booking retreat! It can include a fun night out on the town, or you can spend the entire time making scrapbooks. You can contact retreat owners to see if they are willing to customize your event. It is a lot of fun and can actually be productive!
