on 10/27/2009 THIS IS AMAZING! Just unbelievable how it worked. Last night we lite candles and without noticing it had dripped off unto our newly purchased livingroom carpet. After the initial shock I decided to google "how to remove wax from carpet" and found this article. I used the brown paper bag method and just worked the waxed area.
Thank you for saving my new carpet.

on 10/15/2009 Just to let everyone know; this works tremendously!! The other night our electricity went out due to a really bad storm, and we had candles going everywhere. Well my girlfriend accidentally knocked one over and thank goodness the wax was the same color as the carpet but it left a bunch of it there. So when our electricity came back on yesterday, I decided to come on the computer to find out if anyone had any ideas of how to remove it. Well low and behold, I came upone eHow.com and saw this article, and it worked great. And like the person above me, I did not scrape anything off first, just put the iron to the paperbag over the wax and it came up lickity split, lol!! So I recommend this to everyone!! Thanks so much for the info!!
