You’re hosting a 4th of July dinner party and you want it to be festive and elegant. After you have chosen your menu and finalized your guest list, it’s time to decided on how you’re 4th of July dinner table will be set. With a little creativity and planning you can create a fabulous dinner table.

Things You'll Need:

  • Red Gerbera Daisies
  • White Gerbera Daisies
  • White Lunch Paper Bags
  • White Ribbon
  • Small Containers
  • Royal Blue or Silver Napkin Rings
  • Red Tea Candles
  • Clear Tea Candle Holders
  • Royal Blue Linen Table Runner
  • White Linen Table Cloth
  • White Linen Napkins
  • Flatware
  • White Dinnerware
  • Wine Charms
  • Place Cards

    Setting The Table

  1. Step 1

    Place a clean white starched linen tablecloth on your dinning table. The tablecloth should hang at least 8 inches from all the edges. To help distinguish your table settings place a clean royal blue linen starched table runner on top of the white tablecloth, in the middle of the dinning table.

    Create your floral centerpieces for your table by placing Red Gerberas daisies and White Gerbera daisies mixed with blue baby’s breath inside of an inexpensive container. Place the container of flowers inside of a white lunch paper bag and clinch the top of the bag with white ribbon tied into a bow. Depending on the size of your table, you will need 4 to 8 floral centerpieces.

    Place two tea candles across from each on the table runner, the candles should be about the width of the centerpieces. Depending on the size of your table, you will need 8 to 16 tea candles. Next place the Red Gerberas daisies centerpiece on the table runner behind the tea candles on the left side of the table runner, followed by two more tea candles. Place the White Gerbera daisies centerpiece on the table runner on the right side, followed by tea candles. Repeat these steps until all the tea candles and floral centerpieces are on the table runner.

    Place a white service plate on the table in front of where your guests will be seated. The service plate will stay on the table until dinner is served. The Service plates should be placed at equal distance apart.

  5. Step 5

    Place the napkins on top of the service plates. Prepare the napkins for your table by placing the white linen napkins through royal blue or silver napkin rings.

  6. Step 6

    Set your table with your flatware. Place the salad fork and dinner fork on the left side of the service plate. Place the dinner knife and soup spoon on the right side of the service plate.

  7. Step 7

    Place your drinkware on the table. Place the Water glass on the right just above the dinner knife. Place the wine glass next to the water glass, for an added touch place royal blue wine charms on the wine glasses.

  8. Step 8

    Place your handwritten or computer generated place cards above the service plates.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try not to crowd your guest at the dinner table give them enough space to enjoy there meal and conversation.
