Making my Hawaiian Chicken recipe is a nice way to liven things up in the kitchen, and to surprise your family with a new dish for dinner! It comes all the way from Hawaii, and is a traditional recipe. Remember...old fashioned recipes are always the best!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 can pineapple, sliced
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
  • 3 chicken breasts, split
  • 1/2 C peach preserves
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 green pepper
  1. Step 1

Drain pineapple and slice; set aside. Sprinkle chicken with salt. Brown chicken in butter. Cover and cook until chicken is done.

  2. Step 2

Add onions and green pepper to chicken. Combine preserves, soy sauce, and vinegar. Pour over chicken and cook about three minutes, turning chicken to glaze.

  3. Step 3

Remove chicken to a platter and add pineapple to sauce. Heat thoroughly; spoon over chicken.
