Making my Hawaiian Chicken recipe is a nice way to liven things up in the kitchen, and to surprise your family with a new dish for dinner! It comes all the way from Hawaii, and is a traditional recipe. Remember...old fashioned recipes are always the best! Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 can pineapple, sliced
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
  • 3 chicken breasts, split
  • 1/2 C peach preserves
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 green pepper

Instructions

    • 1

      Drain pineapple and slice; set aside. Sprinkle chicken with salt. Brown chicken in butter. Cover and cook until chicken is done.

      Add onions and green pepper to chicken. Combine preserves, soy sauce, and vinegar. Pour over chicken and cook about three minutes, turning chicken to glaze.

    • 3

      Remove chicken to a platter and add pineapple to sauce. Heat thoroughly; spoon over chicken.
