Things You'll Need
- Spray bottle(s)
- Essential oil(s)
- Liquid fabric softener
- Baking soda
Fill a spray bottle with plain tap water and add 10 to 15 drops of your favorite essential oil for every 2 cups of water. Spritz into the air and enjoy the aroma. Choose your essential oils according to their healing qualities, for example, lavender is calming, peppermint is energizing, bergamot helps soothe mild depression and eucalyptus deters insects, including fleas.
Get rid of hard to remove odors on clothing, such as fry grease, cigarette smoke and more by simply mixing equal parts of vodka and water in a spray bottle and lightly covering fabrics. The liquid evaporates quickly, leaving no alcohol or stuck in smell in its wake. This trick works great on upholstery, carpeting and inside of your vehicle as well.
Remove odors and replace them with that just out of the dryer smell. In a spray bottle, mix 1 part liquid fabric softener, 1 part baking soda and 2 parts warm water. Shake the bottle well until the baking soda is thoroughly dissolved and then spray a very light layer on clothing.
Make the easiest room deodorizer ever by simply opening up a box of baking soda and setting it in any area that tends to collect odor. You can also sprinkle baking soda in your carpets of on your furniture before vacuuming.
