How to Make Tapioca Pudding in a Slow Cooker

One problem people run into while cooking pudding on the stove is the milk burning on the bottom of the pot. Switching to a crock pot eliminates that problem and makes cooking home made pudding fun again. Tapioca is an especially tasty pudding and you can learn how to make it by following the directions below.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup of either small or large pearl tapioca
  • 2 quarts of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 4 whipped eggs
  • 1 can of crushed pineapples drained
  • Several dollops of whipped cream
  • Mixing bowl
  • Crock Pot
  • Pour milk, sugar, and pearl tapioca in the crock pot and place the lid on top.

  • Turn the crock pot setting to high and cook for 3 hours.

  • Take out a ladle of milk from the crock pot and pour in to a mixing bowl.

  • Add eggs and vanilla to your mixing bowl and combine all ingredients.

  • Pour the ingredients from your mixing bowl back in to the crock pot and cook for another half hour.

  • Pour hot tapioca into single serving dishes and place in the refrigerator to cool off.

  • Add a scoop of crushed pineapples and a dollop of whipped cream just before serving.

  • Serve cold.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can substitute any fruit for the pineapples if you have another favorite flavor.
  • Don't cook the pudding any longer than 3 1/2 hours or it will start to reduce.
