Instructions

    • 1

If your leather is a clothing item, hang it up so you can properly inspect it for dirt and debris. If it is a larger leather item then spread it out or bring it into an area where you have room to clean it.

    • 2

Mix 1/4 cup Murphys oil soap to 5 cups of water in the container you have available.

    • 3

Take one of the cloths and submerge in solution. Make sure to ring out excess water--you want the rag damp not wet.

    • 4

Pick an area to start and clean in sections, using a circular motion and gently pressing on the leather.

    • 5

After cleaning a medium-sized area of the leather take the dry cloth and gently buff dry, using the same circular motion.

    • 6

Repeat this process until your leather is clean.

Tips & Warnings

  • For stains that will not come out take your leather item to a professional.

  • Do not use this technique on suede. Suede should be dry-cleaned only.
