How to fry ' Oysters ' w/ Asian Flair

Raw oysters are a great aphrodisiac for sure, but how good are they 'fried'. Well you just have to try this recipe for another taste tempting flavor of ocean zest. Fried oysters are a big thing in New Orleans and everywhere else. If you never have tried them now is the best time to experience something really delicious, especially if you cannot stomach them raw. The spicy flavors and crunchy breading changes the whole concept of the word oyster and ads a spark of seafood charisma into your life. Shucks, you just can't get any better then deep fried oysters.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 dozen of Raw Oysters
  • All purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Bread crumbs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Black pepper
  • lime juice
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • Plastic or paper bag
  1. Step 1

    Pre-heat vegetable oil to 385 degrees or deep frying temperature.Break one egg into a bowl combining 1/4 cup of milk and a squeeze of lime.Beat till liquid.Use 1 cup of all purpose flour and place in a plastic bag for 'shake and bake' technique, add spices to taste(salt, black pepper).Dip oysters in the eggdip then into bag of flour(5 or 6 at a time) and shake.

  2. Step 2

    Take the oyster from the bag and dip into 'eggdip' once more then roll in bread crumbs in a shallow pan.Slowly place the breaded oysters into the hot oil and deep fry momentarily 'til golden.

  3. Step 3

    Using tongs or wire spatula remove them from the oil. Use a layer of paper towels in a plate or platter to soak up the oil.

    Let them rest before serving. A sweet and sour sauce such as 'Sriracha' is a tasty dip.

  4. Step 4

    Also a perfect side dish is Asian pickles, Mexican Jalepenos with a cool cucumber salad, or Onion Rings.
