Keeping your keyboard clean is important, especially if you spend a lot of time working at your computer or browsing the Internet. Everyone is guilty of munching and typing, and too often the results rattle around just beneath the keys on your board.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use forced air from a can to blow crumbs out from underneath your keyboard. You can also use your blow dryer on a cool setting.

  2. Step 2

Sweep your keyboard clean using a soft-bristled broom. You'll be surprised at how many crumbs you can remove from your keyboard by gently sweeping between the keys.

  3. Step 3

Flip your keyboard upside down and shake it vigorously. Let gravity take its course, and the crumbs will fall to the floor. Be prepared to vacuum the floor when you're done.

  4. Step 4

Vacuum your keyboard using the brush attachment. A tiny vacuum of the kind used to detail cars is excellent for this purpose.

  5. Step 5

Dampen a cotton swab and run it between the keys when you're cleaning your keyboard. If the swab is slightly wet, the crumbs will stick to it. You may need to replace the cotton swab with a fresh one before you're done, depending on how dirty your keyboard is.

  6. Step 6

Slide double-stick tape down and under the keys on your board to collect small crumbs. You'll probably need to replace the tape frequently as its sticky surface fills with crumbs.
