The Hair
Step1
Grow your hair long, about five or six inches below your shoulder, if you want the traditional Lacey look. It can be layered, but only at the ends, and nothing shorter than two inches below your chin.
Step2
Add some red to the ends of the hair strands if you want, but know that black is always the most popular option.
Step3
Part it to the left, but push it up and out of your face, except when you're rocking out at a concert. Then your hair can get as messy as you want. Otherwise, let people see your beautiful features.
Step4
Tousle it, giving your hair a slightly messy, a bit wavey, look. Mainly, you want the punk-rock look: spikey ends, cool angles and major attitude.
Step5
Cut your hair short if you prefer the later Lacey look. Her hair is just above the shoulder in the front, shorter in the back and extremely textured and spikey on the ends. Continue to part the hair to the left, but place the part even more to the side, beginning to the right of your right eyebrow, and let your hair cover most of your forehead, though not your eyes. Keep your hair black for this one.
Makeup and Body Art
Step1
Go minimal on the lips and cheeks. They should look as natural as possible.
Step2
Have fun with the eyes: eyeshadow (usually grays, blues and reds) and/or eyeliner (black) are a must with this diva. Mega-thick black eyeliner is probably the look you see most on this woman.
Step3
Write on your arms with a Sharpie marker, especially Bible verses, sayings and quotes. This includes Philippians 1:21, "Lullaby" by Pedro the Lion and "Every ending contains a new beginning."
Step4
Get a few tattoos on your left forearm, your left leg and on the back of your left shoulder. Your forearm tattoo is the word "Beulah" from Isaiah 62:4, your leg has a tattoo of a swan and your shoulder shows the Holy Trinity and a dove.
Clothes and Jewelry
Step1
Pick up a pretty little dress or three. They should be knee-length, rather light and airy in feel, and show your shoulders. White and black are winning colors, but many others will suffice. Just make sure you look girly but feel tough.
Step2
Go indie-rock-normal. Layered shirts, long tanktops with jeans, skirts if you have pants underneath, dresses with pants underneath and tattered/cuffed/skinny jeans all have a space in Lacey's wardrobe and can soon find a place in yours.
Step3
Be a minimalist with jewelry. You don't need earrings, large or small, to define your personality. Necklaces aren't necessary either.
Step4
Let your feet have a break; go barefoot for a day or two. Or slip your feet into a pair of comfy tennis shoes of various colors. The green and white is a personal favorite.
