How to Make a Birthday Present for a Friend

Do something special the next time your friend has a birthday by making a present to show just how much your friendship means to you. Homemade crafts are great because they can be low cost and personal.

Instructions

1. Find a glass item and decorate it. Mix regular school glue with acrylic paint and create a beautiful painted candy dish or vase.

2. Wrap up a wreath for your friend. The theme ideas are endless for wreaths. Follow along with the style of the home and design a beautiful country, Victorian or modern wreath for the door.

3. Make an herb pot. Get a clay pot and apply mosaic tiles or paint it with fabulous bold colors.Then with special marker write the name of the herb you bought on the brim. Plant the herb and give it to your friend.

4. Sew something. If you enjoy sewing make a carrying sack, a quilted throw or blanket. This will be a present to cherish forever.

5. Paint something. If you like watercolors make a set of blank greeting cards. Paint a wooden craft like a birdhouse or serving tray with acrylic. Try your hand at oil painting and create a landscape scene.

6. Design a jewelry box. These make great birthday presents. Find a box style like such as square, oval or irregularly shaped and stain, paint or decoupage it. Embellish with stones or sea shells.

7. Write out a coupon book. This present comes straight from the heart. Just cut out any shape of 10 pieces of paper. Punch holes on the top and secure with yarn or ribbon. Give them coupons good for a cup of coffee and good conversation or lunch on you.
