Chicken burgers are a healthy alternative to your regular hamburger. Adding herbs, garlic and onion to your finely chopped chicken adds flavor and seasonings to your chicken patty. You can fry this on the stove or grill it for extra flavor.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Chicken, chopped very fine
  • Parsley or thyme
  • Garlic paste
  • Diced onion
  • Cottage cheese
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Step 1

Place the chicken into a bowl large enough to hold all of your ingredients.

  2. Step 2

Add diced onions, herbs to taste, a dash of lemon juice, well-drained cottage cheese and a pinch of salt and pepper. After washing your hands and removing any jewelry, use your hands to mix the ingredients together well.

  3. Step 3

Form your patties into evenly-sized shapes.

  4. Step 4

Cook your patties on a hot grill for approximately 5 minutes per side, or cook in a covered skillet on the stove at medium-high heat for about 7 minutes per side or until the chicken burgers are cooked through.

  5. Step 5

Adapt this recipe by adding barbecue sauce, peppers, or coleslaw as a topping for your chicken burger to make it uniquely yours.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you're making the patties in advance, store them in the refrigerator to prevent the cottage cheese from becoming too warm and unsafe. If you're transporting the patties to a park or a reunion, keep them on ice until you're ready to cook them.
