Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rockin' '70s music
  1. Step 1

Move your hips back and forth to the beat of the music. Continue to move your hips through the entire dance.

  2. Step 2

Place your arms at your sides so that they are bent into 90-degree angles. Clench your fists. Alternate pumping your arms back and forth in an exaggerated fashion.

  3. Step 3

Move your arms together with your hips still swiveling. Begin taking steps forward. As you swing your right arm forward, take a step with your left foot. Step forward with you right foot as you move your right arm back and swing your left arm forward.

  4. Step 4

Travel in circles around your dance space. Dance in one place by marching in place or rocking back and forth on your feet.

  5. Step 5

Stop dancing every so often to pull the whistle on your train. Raise your hand up in the air and pull down on an imaginary cord. Shout "whoo, whoo" as you pull down on the cord.

  6. Step 6

Do the train motion for 8 to 12 beats, and then pull the whistle for two beats. Adjust the timing on your moves according to the beat of the music.
