Lit'l Smokies smoked sausages are a great complement to any potluck or game-day spread. They're simple to put together and require little tending.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Crock pot
  • 1 lb. Lit'l Smokies sausages
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Step1
Place the crock pot on a counter or table and plug it into an outlet. Turn the setting to low.
Step2
Gather a package of Lit'l smokies, brown sugar and water. You can also add some onion and apple chunks if you so desire.
Step3
Combine the ingredients. Begin by opening the Lit'l Smokies package and dumping the sausages into the crock pot. Then measure out one cup of brown sugar, and put that into the crock pot as well. Last, put half a cup of water into the crock pot and stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved.
Step4
Cover and cook until the smokies are heated through. Let the ingredients warm together for three to four hours on low, stirring occasionally.
Step5
Serve and enjoy. Serve your smokies with a cold beer and some cheese wedges for one of the best game-day snacks around.
