This may be one of the most stressful times of your life; but it's also one of the happiest. The easiest way to keep your cool at this time is to appreciate each moment as a moment you will never have again--aside from all the plans, expenses, vendors and jitters. The point is that it is you and your love's big day. Even if something goes wrong, stay calm and focus on what's really important and enjoy! Read on to learn more.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Write lists to keep yourself organized and on track. The few weeks leading up to your wedding day might be a little overwhelming because you want to make sure everything is exactly the way you want it to be. By writing down your To Do's, you will get things off your mind and hopefully be able to relax a little.

  2. Step 2

Confirm all your vendors and look over your finances sooner than later. It may seem stressful but it will ease your mind to know the specifics and to know your vendors are excited about your wedding, too.

  3. Step 3

Allow yourself to get excited! Half of the fun is looking forward to the big day. Happy engagement!

  4. Step 4

Exercise regularly, do yoga or pilates and strength training. Not only will you be toned and in shape for the big day; your exercise will also help relieve any stress.

  5. Step 5

Start a wedding box (or suitcase for a destination wedding) about a month before your big day. Leave it in a spare room with easy access. Whenever you think of something you will need for the wedding or reception, write a note and put it in the box. All your notes will be in one place, which will make things easier for you as you prepare for your wedding day.

  6. Step 6

Allow people to help you. You will notice as you near the wedding, and especially on your big day, people will want to help you. Let them. Taking some of the responsibility off your own shoulders will allow you to relax and enjoy your day even more.

  7. Step 7

Celebrate with your spouse-to-be. Enjoy the time you spend planning, dream of your future together and remember that this is all about the two of you. It's a busy time but you should be able to enjoy the ride as a couple.

  8. Step 8

Stay calm on the morning of your wedding by turning your jitters into excitement. (That's probably what you are feeling, anyway). Think of happy moments with your soon-to-be spouse. Also think of how soon you'll get to see each other and celebrate all your planning.
