A wedge salad is primarily an iceburg lettuce salad that is in the shape of a wedge. Although you can add or remove any ingredients you like, here's how to make a traditional wedge salad.

From Quick Guide: Salad Recipes
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Head of iceburg lettuce
  • Chunky bleu cheese dressing
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Crumbled bacon
  • Sliced red onions
  • Hard boiled egg, optional
  • Salad bowl
  • Knife
  1. Step 1

Remove the outer leaves from the head of the iceburg lettuce and clean it while keeping the head intact. Cut into quarters.

  2. Step 2

Put one quarter of the lettuce in your salad bowl so that the wedge faces up.

  3. Step 3

Pour several tablespoons of bleu cheese dressing over the wedge.

  4. Step 4

Add cheddar cheese over the dressing.

  5. Step 5

Sprinkle the crumbled bacon bits over the salad.

  6. Step 6

Slice your red onion finely and sprinkle over salad. Add a diced hard-boiled egg, if you like. Serve immediately.
