With the number of romantic films set in New York City, it's no wonder that Valentine’s Day can be one of the best holidays to spend in New York City. A couple could choose from a plethora of activities on this romantic day. Here is how to celebrate Valentine’s Day in New York City.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Take a walk through Central Park on Valentine‘s Day. Central Park is beautiful no matter what time of year it is. There are countless different paths that you could take throughout the park and the walk could be however long you want. Just be sure to dress appropriately.
Step2
Go for a carriage ride around Central Park. This is an excellent activity, especially after your walk around Central Park. This is classic New York and is a can’t miss activity for Valentine’s Day.
Step3
Have somebody take your picture in front of one of the “Love Statues” in New York. The most well-known “Love Statue” can be found at Sixth Avenue and 56 Street. This is a nice souvenir as well as a free Valentine’s Day activity in New York.
Step4
Take a trip in a bicycle taxi instead of a car. Since these move slower than a car, you’ll get a better view of the scenery in whatever part of the city you are in when you hop into the bike taxi. These are also cheaper and better for the environment than a car, two undeniable plusses.
Step5
Go to Cosi in Union Square for either a simple meal or a nice dessert. Cosi can be best compared to Panera in terms of a restaurant. Cosi in Union Square has that perfect atmosphere, however, for a Valentine’s Day dessert. It’s also a nice place in New York for a first date.
Step6
Go to the top of the Empire State Building once the sun goes down. Sure, this may be a cliché on Valentine’s Day, but there’s no denying how great the view is from the top of the Empire State Building. This could be the perfect way to either begin or end your Valentine’s Day in New York.
