Do your part in protecting Mother Nature for the next generation by only using environmentally-friendly cleaning products. Here are the simple steps to converting your home to "green."
Buy direct from the company. Many of the environmentally friendly products can be found online. The Clean Environment Company produces some of the best products in the green clean genre. They are used by all of the federally owned national parks. Unfortunately, they have very few retail outlets. Their enzyme treatment products remove odors and stains better than any mainstream product on the market (see Resources below).
Step2
Local food co-op. All of the natural food stores carry green clean product lines. When you buy your household supplies at the neighborhood food co-op, you are also supporting locally-owned business versus a national chain. An internet search under "food co-op directory" provides resources for you to find one located near you.
Step3
Chain Natural Food Markets. If a local food co-op isn’t in your neighborhood or city, the larger natural food chains have a wonderful selection of environmentally-friendly cleaning products to choose from.
Step4
Mainstream grocery store. Thankfully, the “traditional” grocery outlets are starting to pick up on the organic and natural markets even in smaller cities and towns. Browse the cleaning supply aisles for your favorite green products. If they aren’t yet available, write an email or letter to the store owner/manager requesting for product availability.
