When you're trapped in an office all day long, one of the best ways to relieve stress and tension is to play pranks on your co-workers and have them played on you. When April Fool's Day comes around it's even more important to be on your guard: anyone can be plotting to pull pranks on the rest of the office. There's no reason why you can't play your own pranks on April Fool's, too!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Develop a plan for your office pranks well in advance. Since office pranks can often involve a lot of people, you'll want to keep track of who's in the building and when. You might even consider going to the office very early or staying late one day and seeing roughly when people arrive and leave.
Step2
Gather the materials you need to make the prank work. If, for example you intend to hang clear cellophane across a doorway then you'll want to head to the supermarket and pick up a roll.
Step3
Have accomplices distract the target of your prank. For example, someone can ask the target to help with a bit of work, pulling the target away from their desk and work area. For pranks that require more time, you may need to have more than one person play the role of distractor.
Step4
Work quickly. In order for pranks to be executed in the middle of the day, you need to be able to finish setup quickly or you may get caught red-handed.
Step5
Complete your pranks the night before. Wait until everyone has left the office (except you and your conspirators) and then set about completing the prank. This may be an important step, especially for labor-intensive pranks like rearranging your boss's office.

Tips & Warnings

  • Get everyone in your department involved in pranks you want to play. Why not stay late one night and move your supervisor's things, rearranging his or her office? You could even get your boss involved and have your team play pranks on other departments in the company.
  • Be sure that the people you're going to play pranks on have a sense of humor and would appreciate the joke. You never know how someone will react to being a "victim," so if you have any doubt as to whether or not someone will become uncomfortable it's best not to play pranks on them.
