Most people hate to fry chicken on the bone. Avoid the hassle by frying chicken strips instead. Chicken strips not only cook faster, but can be used in several different recipes as well. Read on to learn how to fry chicken strips.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 lb. of chicken tenders
  • 1 cup flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • Plastic container with lid
  • 12-inch skillet
  • Tongs
  • Plate
  • Paper towels

Step1
Place the flour, salt, and pepper in the plastic container. Mix to combine. Then add the chicken tenders and the lid. Shake to coat.
Step2
Pour enough oil into the 12-inch skillet to come to a quarter of an inch up the sides of the pan. Allow the oil to heat over a medium-high heat until the oil comes up to frying temperature.
Step3
Once the oil is hot, use the tongs to carefully add the chicken tenders to the skillet. Allow to cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.
Step4
Remove the chicken strips to a plate covered with paper towels. This will allow the excess oil to drain away from the chicken tenders.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can add other seasonings to the flour to create flavors your family will enjoy.
  • Do not overheat the oil or it will burn.
  • Do not overcook the chicken strips or the will be tough.
