How to Organize a Cupcake Swap

Love Cupcakes? Why not invite some of your closest friends over for a night of entertainment? Allowing guests to bring their favorite cupcakes and recipes is a great way to have a party! Guests will love being able to go home with a variety of cupcakes and new recipes to try!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Guest list and invitations
  • Cupcakes
  • Cupcake recipes
  • Goodie Boxes
  • Index cards or recipe cards
  • Colored pens and pencils
  • Buffet table
  • Light refreshments
  1. Step 1

    Gather a list of friends who love to cook and send out invitations up to a month in advance.

  2. Step 2

    On the day of the swap, be sure to bake up a dozen each of at least 3 to 4 different varieties of cupcakes.

  3. Step 3

    When guests arrive, try to have plenty of space available for them to display their cupcakes for the swap.

  4. Step 4

    Have guests swap their cupcakes.

  5. Step 5

    Serve light refreshments.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remind guests to bring at least 3 dozen each of 3 to 4 different kinds of cupcakes.
  • Have bakers' boxes and parchment paper available for guests to take their goodies home in.
  • Have extra recipe cards and pens available for guests to jot down ideas and more recipes.
  • Make sure to have all baking done before the swap.
