How to Have an Old-Fashion Christmas in Just 7 Steps

Step1
The first step is to select a fresh live Christmas tree. The most important part about picking a Christmas tree is not to get the biggest tree, but one that will fit into the door of your place. The second important thing about traditions of the past Christmas and the tree is to replant the tree for another year. If, replanting is not available, then please by all means recycle the tree into mulch to help keep our beautiful universe.
Step2
The second step is to make it a family decorating event. Make some popcorn for everyone to eat and some for stringing to create the old-fashion tree trimmer. Take turns singing the chorus of the old Christmas carols. Trying having little kids sings the easy lines and the adult sing the harder one. If, they mess up well the real song will shine through and laughter will follow.
Step3
The third step is to follow the Christmas tree decorating with several great classic Christmas movies, like Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life, and a Charlie Brown Christmas. Create the atmosphere by lighting a fire and having a cup of warm Eggnog.
Step4
The fourth step is great for little ones that are getting ready for bed, but to excited to sleep; so break out the books. Select some of the classic books from the past and some of the great ones from the present, like Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or Polar Express. But, don’t forget to help the kids place cookies and milk out for Santa.
Step5
The fifth step is to keep the music flowing through the house. The Christmas music has an upbeat tone that makes people happy and will relieve any stress that might come your way.
Step6
The sixth step is keeping the laughter roaring as people talk and exchange home-made cards. The cards can show thoughts, love, and most of all emotions.
Step7
The seventh step is to share you and your spirit with others that are less fortunate. So, go help at a soup kitchen or hand out some of those home-made cards to homeless with five dollars in them.
