Want a no-fuss meal that looks as fabulous as it tastes? Try this crock pot pepper chicken recipe. The green peppers give it some crunch while the thyme and black pepper give it heat. Serve it over noodles and your guests will think you slaved all day. Best of all? It’s done in the crock pot so all you do is heat up the noodles and your whole meal is complete.

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 (16 oz) can of mushroom pieces
  • ½ cup white cooking wine
  • 1 ½ medium green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • ¾ cup frozen peas
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  1. Step 1

    Spray inside of crock pot with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Step 2

    Whisk soup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, pepper, and cooking wine in a medium sized bowl until blended.

  3. Step 3

    Place chicken in the bottom of crock pot. Make sure chicken is evenly spaced.

  4. Step 4

    Place bell pepper pieces over top of chicken.

  5. Step 5

    Pour soup mix over chicken.

  6. Step 6

    Cover and cook on high 4-5 hours, or on low 7-9 hours until chicken is tender.

  7. Step 7

    Stir in peas during last 15 minutes if cooked on high, and last half hour if cooked on low.

  8. Step 8

    Cover. Let stand five minutes.

  9. Step 9

    Serve over egg noodles.
