How to Make Easy Green Bean Casserole

This is an easy vegetable dish that can be served with almost any entrée. It can be prepared ahead of time and popped into the oven as you are getting ready to eat.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 large bag frozen green beans (whole or any cut)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 large can fried onions
  1. Step 1

    In a 3 qt. casserole dish combine the green beans and cream of mushroom soup.

  2. Step 2

    Mix in half of the fried onions. Cover the dish and refrigerate (if preparing ahead of time).

  3. Step 3

    Put the covered casserole dish in a 400 degree oven 40 minutes before you plan to eat.

  4. Step 4

    After 30 minutes, remove the cover. Sprinkle the rest of the fried onions on top of the casserole. Continue heating for 10 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • This side dish will serve about 8 people. You can double the recipe for more people by doubling all the ingredients, using a deep 4 qt. casserole dish, and increasing the cooking time by 10 minutes.
