How to Play a Blade of Grass

Kids and adults can wow friends and family members with their musical talents by creating a kazoo provided by nature. This little trick can keep people at a picnic amused while the chicken grills for "just 5 more minutes".

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Wide and long blade of grass
• Two thumbs
• Sense of humor

1. Obtain and the largest blade of grass you can find. The thicker and longer it is, the better reed it will make.
2. Place your thumbs together side by side. The inside of your thumbs should face out and the nails should be facing you.
3. Take your blade of grass and place it lengthwise between your thumbs. The blade of grass should be visible through a small gap between your first and second knuckle.
4. Blow through the gap. If you cannot make it whistle at first, make some adjustments. Practice simple songs.
