How to Play April Fool's Food Pranks

On April 1st, pull pranks on your family and friends by disguising food. Food pranks are harmless, yet fully enjoyable. Tickle your loved one's funny bone when you pull off these tasty tricks during dinner time. Choose just one of the following ideas, or use them all for an April Fool's Day to remember.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Serve chicken strips with a side of ice cream potatoes topped with caramel gravy. Put a handful of candy peas and carrots on the plate.

  2. Step 2

    Pour milk into an opaque juice pitcher. Put food coloring in the milk. Pour the milk into your kids cereal and watch them giggle with surprise.

  3. Step 3

    Make meat loaf cupcakes. Bake meat loaf in tin foil cup cake liners. Frost the meat loaf with mashed potatoes that have been colored with food coloring.

  4. Step 4

    Make vegetables out of chewy candy. Unwrap chewy candy. Microwave the candy for 5 to 7 seconds on a paper towel. Form green candies into green beans and peas. Make orange candy into carrot chunks.

  5. Step 5

    Use an apple corer to make a small hole in the side of an apple. Insert a gummy worm into the hole. Pack the apple in a sack lunch.

  6. Step 6

    Make mock sushi. Form rice crispy treats into small circles. Poke a hole in the center. Put a piece of gummy worm in the hole. Wrap a strip of fruit leather around the outside of the rice crispy treat.

  7. Step 7

    Buy fake flies from the store. Sprinkle the flies in a tossed salad.
