Things You'll Need:
- Fresh almonds
- Blender or Food Processor
- Pan for roasting
- Container for storage
-
Step 1
Spread the shelled almonds on a cookie sheet or pan and place in a 350 degree oven. Watch the almonds closely and shake the pan every five minutes so the nuts will roast evenly. When lightly browned, remove from oven an let cool.
-
Step 2
Grind the roasted almonds in a blender or food processor. If using a blender, do about one cup of nuts at a time. Once the nuts are in small bits, turn the speed of the blender up until a paste begins to form. Continue until the butter is the consistency you desire. A food processor can do more nuts at a time than a blender, but the instructions remain the same.
-
Step 3
Use a spatula to place the butter in the container of your choice.
-
Step 4
Repeat the process until all the almond nuts have been buttered.

on 7/25/2008 If you have the problem of dry almonds, just add a teaspoon of olive oil and that should fix it. If it's still not creamy, add another teaspoon of olive oil.
