Things You'll Need:
- Acetone or nail polish remover.
- Clean white rag for cleaning up stain.
- Quart of warm water.
- Mild detergent.
- White vinegar.
- Vacuum.

Step 1
Decide if you will be using acetone or nail polish remover. Test your solvent of choice on an inconspicuous area of carpet.

Step 2
If carpet passes the test you will then proceed to cleaning the stain.
Wet your rag with the solution you chose then rub the stain. Let carpet dry. -
Step 3
If stain is still there, you will then mix 1 teaspoon mild detergent with an equal amount white vinegar, to 1 quart warm water. With clean white cloth apply to stain. Continue with step 3 until the stain disappears.

Step 4
Let dry, then vacuum.
