Even though parents, grandparents and teachers aren't supposed to have a favorite child, they always do. There are many advantages to being the favorite child that include receiving better gifts and getting more attention. If you want to be the favorite child, follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Listen to adults. Adults like children that are respectful. When you listen to what an adult tells you, the adult appreciates the respect you have shown them. You need to listen to what adults tell you to do and then do it. Following an adult's instructions the first time begins the process of you being their favorite child.
Step2
Help out. You must pay attention to opportunities where you can help others. You need to offer to help before a person has to ask you for help. People appreciate you more if you actively offer help.
Step3
Adopt personality traits. You need to be aware of the idiosyncrasies that adults have. It is always easier to like a person when you have something in common with that person. When you share the same personality traits it helps you to be the favorite child because that person sees themselves in you.
Step4
Be polite. You must use good manners. Say please and thank you, maintain proper hygiene and be respectful. Adults typically favor children that are well behaved.
Step5
Don't brag about being the favorite. You know when someone likes you better than other kids. All it takes is an adult hearing you brag about being the favorite child and the party is over. Most adults know they shouldn't have a favorite child and believe they hide their favoritism well. Don't burst the bubble by bragging.
