Step 1
Locate a stable near you and inquire as to whether it offers ponies for children's parties. Find out if you need to have the party there, or if the stable can deliver the pony to your house. Some may not offer the latter option.
-
Step 2
Ask questions, such as if the stable has ever experienced any accidents and if it's fully insured. Make sure renting a pony for your child's party is a safe and enjoyable experience.
-
Step 3
Request for someone trained with the pony to be present at all times. Whether you are holding the party at the stable or at your house, make sure a qualified attendant is available and remains with the pony during the entire event.
-
Step 4
Ensure that none of the children attending the party are afraid of ponies, or any other animals. Hold the pony riding in separate area of the yard from the party. Or simply have that child or children come to the party after the pony riding is over.
-
Step 5
Know any age limits the stable might have regarding younger children and pony riding. If you plan to invite children under the age of seven, make sure they can ride before renting a pony for your child's party.
