How to Make a Halloween Gift Basket

A Halloween gift basket is the perfect hostess gift for your next Halloween party. Fill it up with ghoulish surprises, such as monster claws and vampire's teeth. Wrap it up in fake cobwebs and top with a bouquet of dead flowers, for a most scary gift basket.

Things You'll Need:

  • Large wicker basket
  • Black spray paint
  • Clear cellophane bags
  • Black cellophane bags
  • Black raffia
  • Black ribbon
  • Orange ribbon
  • Clear plastic gloves (available at beauty supply stores)
  • Assorted Halloween candies
  • Candy corn
  • Popcorn
  • Halloween CD
  • Vampire teeth
  • Fake spider webs
  • Bouquet of dead flowers
  1. Step 1

    Spray a large wicker basket with black paint. Let it dry overnight.

  2. Step 2

    Layer the bottom of the basket with black and orange shredded paper.

  3. Step 3

    Put candy corn, chocolate covered raisins and black and orange hard candies in clear cellophane bags, and tie each bag with black raffia.

  4. Step 4

    Make "Monster Claws" by placing a piece of candy corn in each fingertip of a clear plastic glove. Fill the rest of the glove with popcorn. Tie with a black or orange ribbon.

  5. Step 5

    Fill black cellophane bags with yogurt dipped pretzels or raisins. Tie with an orange ribbon.

  6. Step 6

    Place all the bagged goodies in the basket, along with a set of purchased vampire teeth, some Halloween make-up kits, and a CD of scary music.

  7. Step 7

    Wrap the basket with fake spider webs and embellish with a bouquet of dead roses. Attach a card that says, "Open at your risk!"
