Fresh holly emanates a mild scent. Keep holly fresh and looking good by following a few of the following techniques.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Cut the desired amount of holly off of the bush or purchase holly from a home and garden store. Soak the holly overnight in a bucket of water.

Spray holly with a fire-resistant spray to help keep it fresh and colorful. Purchase these types of sprays at home and garden stores.
Step3
Place holly in a place that will not receive direct sunlight. Choose a spot that is away from any source of direct heat. A fireplace mantel or centerpiece on the dining room table are good choices.
