Enjoy beer? Pour it into a glass for a more authentic taste.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Beer
  • Glass (Frosty Mug Optional)
  • Thirst
  1. Step 1

Get your can or bottle of beer. Or, sneak to the other side of the bar and get ready to pull a sneaky pint.

  2. Step 2

Grab your glass. You can prepare a frosty mug in the freezer the night before if you're going for the extra cold option.

Try to find a good beer class. Usually relatively skinny at the bottom, opening up a the top.

Make sure the glass is CLEAN and that it does not have any soapy residue.

  3. Step 3

Hold the glass at about a 30 degree angle in your left hand. Hold the can or bottle of beer in your right hand.

  4. Step 4

Start pouring the beer down the side of the glass.

  5. Step 5

When you have filled the glass about 60 percent, start to untilt the glass to create healthy head of foam.

  6. Step 6

As a general rule, a good pilsner should have about 2 fingers of foam in the top of the glass.

  7. Step 7

If you've poured badly, have a dirty glass, or a crappy beer, it will look like this.

  8. Step 8

If you've done well, then you can enjoy this.

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose a good beer, you'll have more enjoyment if you keep away from the macro brews.
  • Make sure your glass is clean!
  • Don't pour too fast, you'll overflow the glass and get too much head on your beer.

on 6/18/2007 I'd suggest pouring the beer into a frosted glass cup to keep it really cold. Remember to pour at an angle to avoid the froth.
