Lining your cupboards and drawers makes for easy cleaning and keeps bacteria from entering the wood. Follow these steps to complete this easy project.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Measuring device
  • Soap and water
  • Self-adhesive lining paper
  1. Step 1

Empty your cupboards and drawers and scrub them clean with warm, soapy water. Allow to dry thoroughly or moisture will be trapped beneath the lining paper.

  2. Step 2

Measure the interiors of your cupboards and drawers. Write the measurements down.

  3. Step 3

Buy self-adhesive lining paper; there are many pretty and fun patterns. You can find lining paper at most hardware stores, Walmart or grocery stores. If you are budget conscious, check out Heloise Hints at GoodHousekeeping.com for money-saving alternatives. Use the measurements you have taken to determine how much lining paper you need.

  4. Step 4

Cut the lining paper carefully to match the dimensions of each cupboard and drawer. It should reach the edge of each area you line.

  5. Step 5

Apply the self-adhesive lining paper according to the directions. Begin to apply at one end of the cupboard or drawer, carefully smoothing out wrinkles and bubbles as you go.
