If you are looking for something that's cool and refreshing and will take the edge off the day, try a vodka watermelon. With a little minor surgery, the watermelon can be turned into a boozy treat, perfect for summer parties and barbecues.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Knife
  • Watermelon
  • Funnel
  • Vodka
  1. Step 1

    Cut a hole in the top of the watermelon. The hole should be big enough to hold a funnel.

  2. Step 2

    Insert a funnel in the hole.

  3. Step 3

    Pour some vodka in the funnel.

  4. Step 4

    Wait for the watermelon to absorb the vodka.

  5. Step 5

    Repeat these steps until the watermelon won't absorb anymore vodka.

  6. Step 6

    Slice and serve cold.

Tips & Warnings
  • Instead of vodka, you can use champagne, tequila, rum or almost any other alcoholic beverage.
  • Leftover vodka watermelon can be frozen and used in blender cocktails.
  • For best results, make the vodka watermelon a day or two ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
