Did you ever wonder why classrooms are usually not carpeted. The chalk, especially colored chalk, stains the carpet. Should you get chalk stains on your carpet, it's easily removable. The following will illustrate a quick removal of the chalk stains.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Vacuum
  • Cotton rag
  • Water
  • Moist baby wipes
Step1
Vacuum the stained carpet area one setting lower than the usual setting. Depending upon how much is stained, vacuuming may remove all of the chalk stain.
Step2
Wipe the chalked area well with a moist baby wipe.
Step3
Wipe the area again with a damp cotton rag.
Step4
Repeat steps two and three until the stain is gone.
Step5
Allow it to dry before stepping on that area of the carpet. When wet and walked upon, the dirt will rise to the carpet's surface.

Tips & Warnings

  • Diaper wipes are excellent at removing carpet stains.
  • Make sure the wipe is not dried out. It needs to be a very moist diaper wipe.
