Why should men have all the fun? Women are entitled to one last wild night before being chained down, too. So, maids of honor and bridesmaids, be prepared to plan a bachelorette party for the bride-to-be. Show those boys you know how to party, too.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gag gifts
  • Invitations
  • Itinerary
  • Identifying clothing for the bride
  • Designated drivers
  • Guest list
  1. Step 1

Make a guest list. Ask the bride who she wants to come to the party. Also, get any contact information from her that you will need.

  2. Step 2

Find out what the bachelorette wants. Ask her where she wants the party, how long she wants to party, any special needs or desires or any special dates. Get a general idea of what she wants, and then do the rest of the planning for her.

  3. Step 3

Gather funds. This is best done beforehand. Find out how everything is going to be paid for. You could request a donation from each guest with the invitation, or you can have the bridesmaids finance the entire venture.

  4. Step 4

Make an itinerary. Find out where you want to be and when. Compensate for travel time and happy hours and specials for bars.

  5. Step 5

Get everything you need. Gag gifts, food and drink, decorations or themed clothing — get it all arranged well in advance. Some stores may close before you remember you need something from them.

  6. Step 6

Send out invitations. Mail out invitations well in advance of the party, and have a deadline for R.S.V.P. Let them know all the details: How much it will cost, what they will need, what they can expect.

  7. Step 7

Have fun! Have all of the arrangements in order so you can focus on having fun when it's time to party.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make the bride wear a veil or tiara so people know it's her party.
  • Gag gifts are a good idea, and can often provide the bride-to-be with some of the more risque items she'd be too embarrassed to buy on her own.
  • Theme your party, or include adult themed games or scavenger hunts.
  • Call a little bit before the party to confirm reservations. You can often get group rates at hotels or spas.
  • The party shouldn't be the night before the wedding ceremony. The bride shouldn't be hungover or hoarse on her big day.
  • Drinking and driving is a bad idea. Hire a limo or get someone to abstain for the night.
  • Brides be warned: Your bridesmaids may have some wild tricks up their sleeves. Be prepared for anything!
  • Technically, this is your last night of freedom, but you are still tied to your future hubby emotionally if not legally. Make sure no one does anything they'll regret.
