Arr, matey, it is time to make a non-alcoholic Grog. The dark rum-coloring of traditional Grog is given by hot coffee, while the spices and sugars make a confection worthy of any modern coffee house. Have a cup and raise the roof tonight.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 cups of brewed coffee
  • 1 cup of cream

  • Brown sugar
  • Butter
  • Lemons
  • Coffee cups
  • Cream
  • Coffee
  • Ground cloves
  • Cinnamon
  1. Step 1

Peel lemons. Save the peels, but use the fruit for another drink or dish.

  2. Step 2

Blend the brown sugar, butter and spices in a small mixing bowl.

  3. Step 3

Add the heavy cream to the coffee. Stir the cream into the coffee until evenly mixed.

  4. Step 4

Stir the dry ingredients into the coffee and cream mixture. Stir until thoroughly dissolved.

  5. Step 5

Pour the non-alcoholic Grog into coffee cups.

  6. Step 6

Garnish each cup with a lemon peel.

  7. Step 7

    Serve hot and fresh.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add a dollop of whipping cream to the top of each cup of Grog and then sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg for a little extra sweetness.
  • Do not store unused Grog. It tastes best when fresh and hot.
