    Things You'll Need

    • Nonabrasive Stove Cleaners
    • Paper towels
    • Liquid Dish Soap
    • Rags
    1. Regular Ranges

      • 1

        Allow stove surface to cool completely before cleaning.

      • 2

        Remove drip pans and soak them in soapy water.

      • 3

        Apply stove cleaner to surface of stove.

      • 4

        Wipe in a circular motion until stains and smudges are gone.

      • 5

        Apply more cleaner as necessary.

      • 6

        Wipe away excess cleaner with a paper towel.

      • 7

        Scour drip pans with an abrasive cleaner or scouring pad.

      • 8

        Allow pans to dry or wipe dry with towel.

      • 9

        Replace drip pans to their position beneath burners.

      • 1

        Allow stove surface to cool completely before cleaning.

        Work cleaner into surface until stains are removed and no smudges remain.

      Please note the comment below about mixing bleach and vinegar. You should NEVER mix bleach and vinegar. It can create a toxic gas.

      i recently had a tiny grease fire that i could blowout. Im not sure how to clean, with what and how thoroughly. The fire didnt cause any damage.
