Things You'll Need:
- Mild detergent or oil soap
- Vacuum
- Colored tapes
- Plain water
- Old sheets or rugs
- Washcloths

Step 1
Unplug all the electronic devices.

Put colorful tapes on the wires and cords to identify them. Use a single colored tape for one set of equipment.

Carefully remove the equipment one at a time and set them outside the entertainment center on a used rug or old sheets.

Dust the dirt off your gadgets with a dry, clean cloth. You may also use the brush or nozzle attachment on a handheld or regular vacuum cleaner.

Use a damp cloth, soaked in a solution made of 1 part mild detergent and 3 parts plain water to gently wipe the exterior of the electronic equipment and disc covers. Do not clean the disc with this solution. Use it only to clean the covers.

Step 6
Dip a Q-tip in the same solution to clean hard-to-reach places on this equipment. Make sure that you clean buttons and corners.

Step 7
Vacuum the inside of the entertainment center, paying special attention to the corners.

Step 8
Remove the cobwebs from the corners.

Step 9
Move the entertainment center, if it is not affixed. Dust the wall that is covered by it with a duster.

Step 10
Clean the rear of the entertainment center in the same way as you did the interior.

Step 11
Clean the shelves. Put paper liners on the shelves.

Step 12
Clean the underside of the entertainment center. Use an extendable brush to reach this area.

Step 13
Dust the dirt off the cords and wires. Wipe the cords carefully with a damp cloth soaked in the detergent and water solution.

Step 14
Use the same solution to wipe the remote controls.

Step 15
Arrange the gadgets back in the entertainment center by attaching proper cords to them.

Step 16
Replace the CDs and DVDs back on the shelves or drawers, wherever they belong.

Step 17
Vacuum the area around the entertainment center to clean the fallen dirt and debris.
