Frying eggs in bacon grease makes the difference between a savory and an average-tasting breakfast. Simplify the process of cooking your first meal-of-the-day while enhancing the timing and flavor, using one pan in which to slowly sizzle your bacon and over-easy eggs. You can cut down on ingredients without using butter and seasonings and reduce cleanup, allowing more time to relish in the bite-by-bite satisfaction of that runny, pork-seasoned yolk.
Things You'll Need
- Non-stick frying pan
- Slotted spatula
- Paper towel
- Flat spatula
Place bacon strips on a non-stick frying pan and cook on medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes until you achieve the desired texture.
Remove the bacon from the frying pan with a slotted spatula and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb some of the grease.
Pour out grease so only about 2 teaspoons remain, coating the bottom of the pan. Break the eggs over the frying pan. Reduce the stove-top heat to low.
Cook the eggs for about 3 minutes, until the egg whites set and appear opaque. Flip the eggs using a flat spatula or push the pan forward while snapping it back at the same time, keeping the yolks intact. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes longer.
